Mailing List

If you've played in the league before, you can register here. If you haven't, you should read the following before registering.

Registration for this year's flights will occur during a two week period starting April 7. Please read the following carefully to find out which week you should register.

Week StartingWho can sign up
April 7Any person who played in a flight during the previous season may sign up for the same flight. Any person who played in a flight during the previous season may sign up for any other flight by sending email to Andy Hoffman.
April 14Anyone may sign up for any flight.

Please determine which category you belong in and sign up during the appropriate week! Note that many "popular" flights fill quickly, the earlier you sign up during your week, the more choices you'll have. If a team consists of two players who should register during different weeks, they may register during the earlier of the two weeks.

Also note that players who did not play in at least 50% of the scheduled matches in the previous season are not eligible to sign up until the third week of registration.

Before signing up for a flight, please read the following:

Howell Park, Shark River, Charleston Springs) have a significant up-charge for non-Monmouth County residents. For Hominy Hill, the out-of-county fee is significantly more expensive than what county residents pay. Howell Park, Shark River and Charleston Springs offer a 9-Hole Plus rate that doesn't require county residency, and beginning in 2019 allows leagues to sign up with pre-reserved tee times, for a fee. If you are not a Monmouth County resident, please make sure you're willing to pay the greens fees before signing up at a county course. Colts Neck, Suneagles and Pebble Creek do not have this restriction.  If you play at one of the Monmouth County courses, you will be required to obtain a Monmouth County Resident Picture ID card (which you can get at the pro shop with 2 forms of ID, and a fee). Once you have one of these cards, you can login or call a week ahead of time to reserve tee times, for a fee.
  • The Holmdel Golf League does not have any special privileges at Hominy Hill, ever, or at Howell Park or Shark River unless individual flights sign up as a league, for a fee. This means that there are no reserved tee times each week for the flight. It is the responsibility of the golfers who are scheduled to play each other to use the call-in or on-line tee-time reservation facility to obtain a suitable tee time each week. Pebble Creek sets aside 4 tee times for each flight each night. Colts Neck now requires our league participants to use their automated tee-time reservation system, and charges hefty fees if reserved times are not cancelled properly. We have discontinued play at Suneagles.
  • All flights are required to forward a nominal fee, usually in the $10.00 to $20.00 range, to the club treasurer for web-hosting and DNS registration. This amounts to about $1 per player per year. Most flights charge a $10.00 to $20.00 prize fee that is collected at the beginning of the season from each person in a flight. This fee covers only the prizes for the flight, regular greens fees must be paid to the course each week. Flight secretaries may decide to waive the fee (and prizes) for their flight.
  • All of the courses we play at require spike-less golf shoes, and each has its own dress code.

For the current season, the following flights are available:

Please follow these steps to ensure that you're correctly registered:

  1. Obtain your "golfer ID". Our automated handicapping system assigns a "golfer ID" to each golfer in the league. If you have played in the league before (even if it was a couple of years ago), you need to find your golfer ID. If you are new to the Holmdel Golf League, you need to create a new golfer ID (before creating a new ID, make sure you don't already have one). If you're registering as a two person team, you'll need your partner's golfer ID as well. All members who have a current golfer ID will receive mailings about upcoming tournaments, etc.
  2. Sign up to play in a weekly flight. Before signing up for a flight, please make sure you understand all of the information above. For more information, see the FAQ. Once you have your golfer ID(s) you can register (as a two-person team or individually) for play in one of our weekly flights.
  3. Sign up to play as a substitute. If you don't have enough time to play on a regular weekly basis, or are already in a flight and can't get enough golf, you can sign up to be a substitute.
